This summer your children will enjoy spending time outdoors at The Art of Words Summer Camp. We are an art and literacy based program that integrates visual and performing arts into its curriculum. Our goal is to make learning fun, and we hope that your children will enjoy not only learning, but develop long lasting relationships with books, music and art.

We plan on learning about butterflies as we watch them grow from caterpillars, grow a bean teepee in our backyard, eat organic home grown food and go to the local farmers market where we purchase food, then go back and cook them using traditional recipes.

All of our activities are based on the Waldorf model; therefore, we encourage children to explore the outdoors as much as possible.

Our summer session begins June 1st through August 24, 2019 and provides all lunch and snacks.

We accept children from age 2.5 to 6 years of age and are open from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

School age children will not only participate in the scheduled outdoor activities, but will also have an individualized curriculum based on their grade level and academic needs.

Let's have fun this summer and see The Art of Words.
